Ownership of the Divine?

Death Toll in Thai-Cambodian Clashes Rises to 12

BANGKOK (AP) — Military officials say the death toll from three days of clashes between Thai and Cambodian troops over a disputed border area housing two ancient temples has reached 12.
The two latest deaths occurred during an outbreak of fighting late Sunday[…] (New York Times, 2011)

Over Temples?  The house of the divine?  OF God?  Why are there disputes in the name of the Divine?  I have to wonder if any thought has been given.  What is causing the REaction?  Of course violence never seems to be the viable answer-yet when does it make  sense? Ever?

In this particular situation…the dispute seems to have a complete lack of logic.  It doesn’t matter who owns what.  The important fact is that these sacred places are maintained, no?  It matters not who OWNS.  Any thoughts?

When passion supercedes logic, good outcomes are diminished.

So we continue war for peace, death for life.

Cooperation is not viable for the greedy.
